Industrial Bolt Forecast

In our Spring Newsletter, we wrote about our waterworks division and the outlook our Vice President of Waterworks, John Ponting, had for the future.

This newsletter addresses a few other areas. Firstly, Don Wilcox (Vice President: Purchasing) provides his insight into pricing; Tony Daniels (General Manager) updates our machining capabilities and Bo Skjellerup (Director: Business Development) simplifies the ASTM 193 specification.

For my part, I would like to thank our customers – you have been increasingly coming to us for both standard and specialty design requirements. Several markets are firing on all cylinders including waterworks, heavy civil and oil & gas. You have been keeping us busy in the 1st six months of 2017 and we thank you.

Industrial Bolt Forecast
by Don Wilcox: Vice President – Procurement

As we await the latest news out of Washington, D.C., one thing is certain – business is picking up!

Firstly, let’s address the domestic market looking at the next six (6) months. Thus far in 2017, there have been no major price increases in either carbon or stainless steels, and all indicators point to raw material prices remaining relatively flat.
