Socket Products

ASTM A574 pertains to the requirements governing quenched and tempered alloy steel “Socket Head Cap Screws”, 0.060 through 4″ diameter. Socket Head Cap Screws are heat treated, tighter thread fits and generally much stronger than conventional ASTM A307 bolts, thus more expensive.
The SHCS is considered a “machine screw” used in mechanical applications such as machine parts, OEM equipment, assembly lines, metering pumps and other equipment where tool or wrench slippage is to be avoided.

A SHCS had a cylindrical head containing a hexagon socket for use with an Allen Wrench. In cosmetical applications, the SHCS is used within a counterbored hole, where the head of the bolt is recessed, leaving a smooth surface that leaves no overhang.
As a manufacturer, Pacific Coast Bolt Corp. can produce Type 304 and 316 S/S bolts through 1″ with customer head designs based upon a customer’s specifications. As a distributor, our company inventories both domestic and import product in a variety of head configurations including standard head, flat heads, button heads, flanged heads and others. The most common materials include carbon and alloy steel, 18-8 and 316 stainless, as well as brass/bronze and zinc plated.
In addition to the Socket Head Cap Screw, PCB also supplies Socket Shoulder Screws, Socket Set Screws.
