As efficient as our waterworks distributors are, they know that they can leverage their existing warehouse space and services if needed. In many instances, our distributors will require us to ship direct to their customer, reducing handling costs and minimizing costly overstocks. Our warehouse thus becomes increasingly interconnected within their supply chain, a strategic asset that gives our distributor a competitive advantage.
In many cases, our customers require a “Just-In-Time” inventory system. The JIT management system minimizes our customer’s inventory and increases their efficiency. We help our customers decrease waste and free up their cash flow by shipping their bolting requirements only when they require them, not before. This works very well with our OEM and MRO customers.
As all of us know, emergencies are never forecasted. PCB’s inventory and distribution system has come to the aid of major constructors when it is realized that the stud bolts and nuts were never requisitioned! Likewise, the city or town whose water main breaks due to age or accident. In many cases, Pacific Coast Bolt has shipped emergency requirements the same day as ordered, with a liberal freight policy for our East and Gulf Coast customers.
